About the Film
In 1955, when racial segregation defined the South, two groups of twelve-year-old boys stepped onto a baseball field in an act of cultural defiance that would change the course of history. More than 60 years later, the players question whether it was more than just a game. Long Time Coming inspires through questions of race, equality, forgiveness and healing and features baseball and civil rights icons such as Hank Aaron, Cal Ripken, Jr., Gary Sheffield, Davey Johnson and Andrew Young.
