About the Film
The AMERICAN AMAZON may be the world’s best kept secret. Four years in the making, join us on an epic journey to discover the untold stories, hidden biodiversity, and rare beauty of North America’s last unseen wilderness. Step inside an ancient oasis anchored by two-thousand-year-old cypress trees. A labyrinth of flooded forests and pulsing arteries. A place buzzing with unique life. Where big mysteries tread around every corner, wild encounters bubble up from crystalline springs, and forgotten tales emerge out of serpentine blackwater rivers.
Narrated by 8-time Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, and composer Jon Batiste, AMERICAN AMAZON takes us deep into the untamed heart of the American South – to forever change our relationship with our one-of-a-kind backyard.
